Lucerne, October 26, 2010 - Over the last two years the cheese-ageing cave in Kaltbach has been extended by around 1,300 metres. The expansion work was completed on time, and wheels of cheese are already being stored in some of the new passages. The cave has been expanded in response to the growing demand for KALTBACH cheese specialities in Switzerland and abroad. Another work has been created to mark the cave a book entitled 'Of caves, cheesemakers, cows and farmers - the long journey to Kaltbach'.
