More about the book

This volume features the best papers from the 14th East-European Conference on Advances in Databases and Information Systems (ADBIS 2010), which took place from September 20-24, 2010, in Novi Sad, Serbia. Continuing the tradition of previous ADBIS events held in various cities since 1997, this conference aimed to foster research dissemination and collaboration among database and information systems researchers from Central and Eastern Europe and beyond. ADBIS serves as an international platform for presenting research on database theory, advanced DBMS technologies, and their applications. The 2010 conference covered a broad range of topics related to database technology and information systems. Two submission tracks were available: a classic track and a special track. The conference featured five distinct tracks: 1. Conceptual Modeling in Systems Engineering (CMSE), 2. Data Mining and Information Extraction (DMIE), 3. Business Processes in E-Commerce Systems (e-commerce), 4. Personal Identifiable Information: Privacy, Ethics, and Security (PIIPES), and more. This collection reflects the diverse interests and innovative research emerging from the ADBIS community.
