In December of 1194 the small town of Iesi is shocked to become by chance on the stage of the birth of Frederick II. Its inhabitants lived the paradox that night to attend the hanging of numerous papists and also the arrival of several cardinals who were to testify to the veracity of the actual childbirth. Nearly eight centuries later, a theater company comes to Iesi to mount a play that recreates that legendary night.
