More about the book
Slvio Gesell (1862-1930) was not a economist, but a merchant. His book was first published in 1906 and saw the fourth edition in 1921. Gesell proposed a radical land reform that would make every human being the owner of the whole world. He managed to combine the right to private property with the duty of discharging its social obligations. He predicted the Second World War as early as 1918.
