Five directions of photography through photography

The works in this exhibition were developed out of a cluster of activities of the art & photography class (Academy of Fine Arts Vienna) that took place in the Spring Semester of 2010. During that period the students divided themselves into five workshops, each dealing with a different topic related to the field of art photography; the students discussed these topics theoretically throughout the semester, created artworks in response to the discussions and subjected each other to critique. Many of the works shown here are direct or indirect results of these group practices. The following five topics have exaggerated throughout the class meetings and are displayed in the exhibition.
