Notably, Georg Friedrich Händel was part of this circle, and their surviving writings reveal a deep personal and artistic connection. Their creative interactions underscore the role of artistic friendships in motivating individual work. However, personal relationships are dynamic and influenced by factors outside of music. This raises questions about how musician friendships can concretely affect specific compositional or reception models. What documents and methodologies can researchers utilize to illustrate the artistic impacts of personal or professional ties between musicians? How do we assess the similarities and differences in their compositional, theoretical, and aesthetic expressions? Furthermore, what tools exist to verify the authenticity of compositions? Did these musician relationships influence the individual and professional distribution of music? These inquiries formed the basis for various themes explored at an international academic conference, with contributions compiled in this volume.
