Global environmental change and the degradation of many natural resources continue unabated. At the same time, the dependence on these dwindling resources is ever increasing while the ability to alter and interfere with the environment is rapidly spreading. Although this knowledge could be used to improve sustainability, it may also be used for criminal and hostile purposes. This book brings together a range of leading scholars to investigate how environmental change and responses to it may drive unrest, fuel environmental crime and relate to terrorism.
