More about the book
In the present study, advanced characterization techniques have been used as a tool for quantitatively describing the morphology of fluidized bed agglomerates. Methods developed for the morphological evaluation of the micro-structure of granules are presented, in order to correlate main process parameters, e. g. inlet gas temperature and binder mass fraction, with the properties of real products. The agglomerates were produced in a top-spray fluidized bed at different operating parameters. This study correlates process parameters to the morphology of agglomerates, which is important for the characteristics of products. Numerical measurement of micro-structure could be used to correlate macroscopic product properties with micro-structural features.
