More about the book
Whilst the number of dementia patients is rising steadily, there are significant deficiencies in regards to the treatment. Dementia is often recognised too late, or not at all, and the costs for health care and nursing are very high. An improvement of the ambulant treatment is urgently needed, especially as the German federal health care system will not be able to cope with the imminent surplus requirements. The book looks at the care deficiencies of the ambulant treatment of dementia sufferers in Germany and illustrates possible solutions, in order to contribute to a possible handling of the problems.
