More about the book

The question regarding what a border is and how it is represented becomes much more complicated in a country where formal borders were never set; a country in which borders are changeable, arbitrary, temporary and mainly highly charged. A country in which, besides for the state’s borders, has many internal borders as well. Everyone and everything has its own border. The everyday existence of various populations, their physical proximity and the emotional baggage between them creates an inevitable need for people to cope with each other on a daily basis. One population mixes with another, borders clash amongst themselves.
