Corporate collaboration 2.0 maturity model

More about the book

Web 2.0 represents a new culture of Internet usage, while enterprise 2.0 focuses on web-based technology in organizations, emphasizing social interaction. Collaboration 2.0 enhances collaborative practices within enterprises. As organizations navigate challenges like globalization, the overwhelming influx of information, and the expectations of Millennials, they must rethink their collaboration strategies. This study employs the capability maturity model for integration (CMMI) to create a maturity model that aids organizations in the long-term adoption of Web 2.0. By breaking down the organizational transformation process into manageable segments, it serves as a roadmap for improvement. The research draws on maturity model literature and success factors related to collaboration 2.0, alongside findings from eight case studies of MS SharePoint implementations based on interviews with 46 German-speaking practitioners. The maturity model is adaptable to various organizational contexts, allowing for tailored application. Through this situationally adaptable collaboration 2.0 maturity model, enhanced as a macro-enabled MS Excel workbook, managers can evaluate their organization's current status and identify actionable steps for advancement and maturation.
