More about the book
Set against a backdrop of hunger and survival, the story follows a half-wolf, Kische, and her son, Wolfsblut, as they navigate a harsh wilderness. After a dramatic encounter with a pack of wolves, they find themselves in an Indian camp where Wolfsblut grows up. He faces challenges and conflicts with other dogs but proves himself as an exceptional sled dog. As he rises to the position of lead dog, he must continuously demonstrate his strength and worth, struggling with the animosity of his peers. Jack London explores themes of nature, survival, and identity.
