More about the book
A main source of distortion in human judgment are value and descriptive correspondences which affect the transformation of internally represented schemata into a response language. These correspondences operate if the context information and the response language possess common attributes. These attributes are defined as valences and other descriptive variables. The data of this empirical study support the view that stereotyping is a response phenomenon which is largely independent of internal representations of formed impressions.
