The last year of the German Army

This book charts the "progress" of the German army from May 1944 to May 1945. It includes details of the structure and organization of Hitler's troops, the growing opposition to the Fuhrer and his consequent mistrust of his senior commanders. Also described are the formation of military units independent of the army and the general state of the army as regarded men, equipment and new developments in weaponry. The book is concluded with accounts of some of the last battles of the war.
