This volume presents the proceedings of a conference that aimed to bring together senior figures from government and media to discuss the future of public broadcasting in a British-German context. Key issuses were ownership, control, and the media as a projection and reflection of British-German society. Panel discussions focussed on political influence, ethics, and war reporting. Conference languages were German and English. For the publication translations and summaries werde added to the statements made in German. This book is the first in a series of conference proceedings with which the Centre for British Studies Berlin intends to stimulate debates of current issues
