In his philosophical development, Schelling increasingly asserts that the ultimate principles of philosophy are practical: the ego as act in early philosophy and creation as a richly structured action in late philosophy. However, the exact nature of this practicality remains unclear, particularly regarding Schelling's concept of action and its integration into his overall system. This study aims to explore these issues in relation to his middle and late philosophy. Beginning with the doctrine of potencies, it reconstructs spirit as practical consciousness and systematically unfolds creation as an ontotheological original act, with the historical world as the arena for human action. Key practical attributes such as freedom, foresight, purposefulness, intentionality, and futurity emerge as central to both human and divine actions. Their interconnection is evident in human religious consciousness and is metaphysically realized in the relationship between time and eternity. Ultimately, Schelling's positive philosophy reveals that these practical elements are essential for understanding the historical world process.
