AKTIONSRAUM LINkZ, with its vision of serving as a vibrant art venue, opened in January 2016 with a show by Viennese artist TOMAK. The accompanying publication documents more than just his new series of works: Confronting the historical dimension of the city of Linz, he produced complex networks of motifs and positions in tune with the times. Roman Grabner offers an introduction to the artist’s conceptual world and artistic interpretation, while Christian Strasser and Gabriele Spindler present the newly established autonomous art space in Linz’s Urfahr district. The catalog is also coming out in a limited special edition as a hardcover with an embossed title and the TOMAK title image “Wiederbetätigung 2” printed on sheet steel.
