The lasting one, that didn’t last, that still lasts

More about the book

Belgian artist and draughtswoman Hannelore Van Dijck produces minute and highly textured charcoal drawings that often cover entire surfaces, whether they be walls, floors, sheets of paper, or textiles. Although her drawings might seem abstract at first, they are essentially hyperrealistic. Often the differences she introduces are subtle and nuanced, and therein lies their power. They can be described as graphic interventions small dashes, circular or geometric motifs, lines resembling wood grain, smudges that appear natural in a way, and as such, become part of the architecture or environment. This artists book coincides with an exhibition of Van Dijck?s work at Be-Part in Belgium.
