Investigating the 'Snapping Fingers' murders takes Sir Denis Nayland Smith from wartime London to Haiti, by way of Panama and New York. There, after encountering the Voodoo Queen Mamaloi, he must find Fu-Manchu's secret headquarters, where - hidden in the crater of a volcano - the Doctor invokes the power of the living dead to do his bidding.
