This workbook is designed for fourth year medical students performing the course in Pediatric Propedeutics. Propedeutics is a histor ical term for an introductory course into a discipline, such as art, science, etc. Propedeutics may be defined as knowledge necessary for learning but not for proficiency. In medicine, the term “propedeutics” or “propedeutic” specifically refers to preliminary collection of data about patient by observation, palpation, temperature measurement, etc., without using specialized diagnostic procedures. In this sense, the book is focusing on essentials of medical examination from birth to adolescence.
