York to Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale

Containing 200 photographs, this work recalls the railways serving the great Yorkshire seaside resorts of Scarborough and Whitby. Outlining the history and development of these railways, and their decline to the network, it also describes the passenger and freight services that operated in the 1950s and since.
