This is an historical novel, set in South Africa during the late 19th Century. It depicts the way of life that brought prospectors worldwide to endure the hardships and excitement of the diamond diggings and later, the goldrush. Whilst interweaving the life and loves of a young Hungarian immigrant, it highlights the personal tragedies brought about by the Anglo Boer War and the belief that this vibrant, beautiful land will ultimately become God's own country.
