This book is one of many that fall part of a series. Designed to assist reluctant readers and dyslexia sufferers, this book follows the British Dyslexia Association guidelines (printed on cream paper, double line spacing, large font, left justified and plenty of pictograms). Donkeys' Wings and Worms' Stings is a collection of traditional tales and entirely original stories, each told with serious silliness. They are culturally diverse and are written to be read aloud by teachers, parents and children, or can be read individually. The stories are targeted at disengaged or reluctant readers and attempt to motivate children to read. The non-patronising and humorous approach is aimed at ages 6 to 106, as the humour appeals to all ages. This means that these stories are accessible to children whose reading age is significantly below their chronological age. The presentation of this book also makes it suitable for Dyslexic readers.
