The Extraordinary Pupfish of Calaveras County

Tale of a town told in alternating chapters by a fifteen-year-old boy named Jeremy McGinnis and a sixty-five year old widow broker, Eliza Hewlie. Jeremy along with a retired teacher named Lester Crump devise a huge environmental scavenger hunt involving dozens of high school students and their parents. Meanwhile, Eliza contends with the threat of groundwater contamination.
