The first collaboration between uHlanga and the Cape Youth Poetry Hub for Expression and Rhythm (CYPHER), Imbewu Yesini is a showcase of nine young poets from greater Cape Town and surrounds, writing predominantly in Xhosa and English. A journey through gender and identity, Imbewu Yesini bears witness to the wounds and the narratives that have come to separate us as women and men, and celebrating our power to shed worn petals and plant new seeds.
