When disturbing nightmares become a regular occurrence for Detective Quinton Long, at first he pays little attention to them. It's only when he has to investigate murders he's seen in his dreams that he begins to question what's happening. As the nightmares become more diabolical, vivid and frequent he confides in his Sergeant, Lenny Brown that he feels something sinister is happening to him. Lenny is of Jamaican decent and unlike Quinton is a believer in voodoo and the supernatural. Convinced he needs help, Lenny takes him to meet Cece, she's an old Jamaican woman gifted in the mystical ways of Obeah. Cece tells Quinton that a young man who is very much alive is haunting his dreams in an effort to stop the killings. Being a detective, he asks why the man doesn't simply contact him. It's not that easy; this man has a sadistic master who is in league with the Devil. It's when things finally begin to reveal themselves that Quinton realises his past holds the key.
