The Codex

Set against the backdrop of an archaeological dig in Belize, the story follows surgeon Rob and graduate student June as they navigate a budding romance ignited by a shared traumatic experience. Their discovery of a rare Mayan codex in a cave leads to revelations about the collapse of the ancient civilization, thanks to the insights of George Avakian, a struggling professor. The arrival of Phoebe, an archeology professor, adds complexity to their lives, intertwining themes of love, history, and personal growth.
