Common populist spirit? A comparative analysis of Alternative for Germany (AfD) and Law and Justice (PiS)

The study explores the phenomenon of populism by analyzing the Alternative for Germany and Law and Justice parties, focusing on their shared populist characteristics. It discusses various interpretations of populism and its origins, applying an ideological framework to assess the right-wing populist transformation of both parties through two key populist moments. Utilizing binomial logistic regression, the research identifies voting behavior determinants and highlights that while conditions for right-wing populist attitudes emerged, they did not significantly influence voting decisions at that time.
