There Is a Season

Set in 1860 Prussia, the story follows Otto as he navigates the challenges of raising his daughter while his wife battles addiction to opium and alcohol. With the help of his doctor, Otto seeks a way to free Hildegard from her dependence, but a series of disturbing events complicate his efforts. Young girls are assaulted, theft occurs on his estate, and a murder takes place, prompting Otto to uncover the truth behind these crimes and their connection to his family's turmoil.
