Focusing on the discursive construction of European identity, this book analyzes EU representations of Turkey within the European Commission, European Parliament, and three member states: France, Germany, and Britain. Utilizing a poststructuralist framework and Critical Discourse Analysis, it identifies multiple constructions of Europe shaped by ideological, national, and institutional contexts. The discourse topics examined include Europe as a security community, a proponent of democratic values, a political project, and a cultural space, highlighting Turkey's significance in these discussions.
