Set against the backdrop of 1962, the narrative follows Patrick Collins, an unsuccessful real estate broker, and his adventurous friend Ralph Prinz on a secretive road trip to central Canada. Their journey takes a perilous turn when Patrick becomes separated from the experienced Ralph while canoeing in uncharted wilderness.
