More about the book
The study focuses on the water quality of the River Hindon, a crucial water source for western Uttar Pradesh, India. Originating in the lower Himalayas, the river faces severe drought conditions during non-monsoon months, rendering it dry in many areas. Key water quality parameters such as BOD, DO, pH, turbidity, and total phosphate were analyzed through samples collected in January and April 2013. The findings indicate poor water quality, making it unsuitable for any use, as assessed by the National Sanitation Foundation Water Quality Index.
