More about the book
The study investigates the real-world effectiveness of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) for treating Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) in a community mental health clinic. By comparing clients at different stages of DBT, the research highlights significant improvements in core BPD symptoms and skill deficits. Results indicate a marked reduction in cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and interpersonal dysfunction among graduates of the program compared to those in pretreatment. The findings suggest DBT's positive impact on client functioning, while also addressing study limitations and future research directions.
