More about the book
Set against the backdrop of climate change, the play explores the evolving relationship between marine biologist Jordan and bio-acoustics expert Sara as they conduct research in Antarctica. Sara's connection with Pepa, a local from Ushuaia, shifts her perspective and deepens her understanding of the natural world. As their relationship becomes strained following Sara's accident, the narrative delves into themes of love, suffering, and awakening in a land imbued with spiritual significance. Inspired by real-life interviews, the play premiered at the 2022 Contemporary American Theatre Festival.
