The Hounds of Rome

The story follows Father Steve Murphy, a respected priest who faces an unexpected transfer from his parish to a correctional monastery, where he discovers he's grouped with disgraced clergy. Confused and angered by his situation, he believes he has been wronged by the church. Determined to continue his ministry, he escapes, becoming a fugitive from the monks sent to retrieve him, who are willing to resort to violence. As he grapples with his faith and the church's betrayal, Murphy seeks answers to his plight and the true nature of his calling.
