Betty Carr Pulkingham's journey begins in North Carolina, where she earned a music degree before advancing her studies at the prestigious Eastman School of Music. Her career includes teaching music theory at the University of Texas and directing choirs in both church and secular settings, notably leading the choir at the Church of the Redeemer in Houston. Alongside her husband, she played a pivotal role in establishing the Community of Celebration, highlighting her deep commitment to music and community engagement.
