The story features an eccentric group of superheroes, including the wealthy and grumpy Baron Sarcasm, his inventive niece, Mademoiselle Mademoiselle, her son Gizmo, and their gentle giant cousin, Captain Camembert. In 1954, they constructed a rocket in their shed, journeyed into outer space, and returned decades later as The Lunatic Legion, seemingly unchanged. The narrative explores their transformation and the mystery of whether they are still the same astronauts who embarked on their adventure half a century ago.
