The study explores the perceptions of expectant mothers regarding care from male student midwives in a maternity unit in Calabar, Nigeria. It employs a descriptive research design, utilizing a sample of 50 mothers selected through consecutive sampling. Data collection was conducted using a validated questionnaire, and reliability was assessed with the Cronbach Alpha method. The analysis involved simple percentage and Pearson correlation to test the formulated hypotheses, all evaluated at a significance level of .05.
