Defiance

The story follows eleven-year-old Toby Steiner as he seeks a normal vacation, yearning for outdoor adventures instead of returning to the hospital after his cancer treatment. His life takes a turn when he befriends Pearl, a spirited elderly woman, and her cow, Blossom. Through their companionship, Toby explores the beauty of poetry and contemplates deeper themes of life, all while grappling with the fear of revealing a new health concern to his parents.
