Focusing on historical narratives, this study examines their influence on citizenship models' inclusiveness and pluralism in Turkey and Austria, two post-imperial countries. Through comparative historical analysis, it reveals how different narrative forms can either promote or limit the development of citizenship, highlighting the complex relationship between history and civic identity.
