Dynamics of the Milky Way

Focusing on the angle-action coordinate system, this study introduces innovative methods for approximating dynamical systems within the Galaxy. It explores the construction of models for tidal streams, remnants of tidally-stripped satellites, and the Galactic disc, revealing their interactions with the Galactic gravitational potential. The research also incorporates additional factors, like stellar metallicity, enhancing the understanding of these components and their significance in the Milky Way's dynamics.
