Barbed Wire

Set in south Texas, the story follows Doug Monahan, an Irishman leading a fencing crew in Twin Wells. He digs post-holes and installs red painted barbed wire to safeguard ranchers from wandering livestock, thieves, and aggressive land developers. The narrative explores themes of resilience and the challenges of rural life, highlighting the importance of community and protection in a rugged landscape.
