Goal-based Interaction with Smart Environments

Ambient Intelligence envisions a future where everyday devices seamlessly integrate computation, communication, and sensory capabilities. The challenge lies in enabling these diverse devices to collaboratively form effective groups that assist users in achieving specific goals. This thesis proposes a goal-based interaction framework to address these challenges, detailing strategies for cooperation among heterogeneous components. It presents an overall architecture and evaluates the effectiveness of these strategies in facilitating user objectives within smart environments.
