His notable works include the tragic masterpieces "The Orphan" and "Venice Preserv'd," which garnered acclaim. However, success was fleeting, and he faced severe poverty in his final years. Otway's contributions to English literature remain significant, even as he died at 33, buried in St. Clement Danes churchyard.
