More about the book

Inspired by Dante's "Inferno," Tchaikovsky shifted from his initial opera concept to create a 25-minute orchestral fantasia, "Francesca da Rimini," completed in 1876. This work showcases his late romantic style and utilizes powerful orchestral forces. It premiered on March 9, 1877, in Moscow, conducted by Nikolay Rubinstein. The newly engraved edition, first issued in 2012 under the pseudonym Howard K. Wolf, is now available in a convenient format, with large conductor scores and orchestral parts offered exclusively by Serenissima Music, Inc.
