More about the book
The study explores the perceptions of Community Psychology among psychology students in South Africa, addressing the disparity in psychological services between racial groups. Employing both qualitative and quantitative methods, it finds no significant relationship between race or gender and the inclination to study community psychology, except in the first year. However, qualitative results reveal prevalent negative perceptions of the field among students, indicating a deterrent effect on their career choices in this area.
