In Five Eyes

The book brings together two nearly forgotten poetry collections, Sound Surface and Surveillance and Compliance, originally published in fugitive editions. Written during the 1980s and early 1990s, these works provide deeper insight into Duncan's earlier poetic voice. Sound Surface is particularly notable as part of the Threads of Iron manuscript, with the rest of that manuscript being released concurrently. This recovery highlights the evolution of Duncan's artistry and the significance of his contributions to poetry.
