Dynamic Reconfiguration Methods for Active Camera Networks

Focusing on dynamic reconfiguration methods, this thesis explores the coordination of autonomous vehicles equipped with visual sensors in Active Camera Networks for collaborative surveillance. It highlights the ability of these vehicles to operate in dynamic environments with minimal prior information, emphasizing wide-area target acquisition and the need for close-up views for biometric tasks like face detection. The research addresses the challenge of efficiently managing multiple cameras to ensure each target is captured only once, enhancing surveillance capabilities in expansive areas.
