More about the book
Focusing on a unique twenty-eight foot wooden Catboat named Ghost, this book chronicles its history within the Barnegat Bay racing class, established in 1922. Following a decline during the Great Depression, the class experienced a revival in 1980 with the construction of new A Cats. Ghost, built by David Beaton, achieved remarkable success, winning seven consecutive Bay championships from 1994 to 2000. The book features detailed photographs of the building process, Ghost's racing challenges, and its eventual place at the New Jersey Maritime Museum.
