It is structured in three parts: a journal, four letters, and Percy Shelley's poem "Mont Blanc." Primarily authored by Mary Shelley, the work reflects their Romantic ideals and experiences in France, Switzerland, Germany, and Holland. In 1840, Mary revised and republished the journal and letters as part of a collection of Percy Shelley's writings, highlighting their literary significance.
